ABOUT ABOUT

Operation Diabetes is teaming up with Memphis Farmer's Market to provide Diabetes risk screenings and hand out healthy recipe cards! Student pharmacist will guide patrons through a diabetes risk assessment and review lifestyle modifications that can help prevent the onset of disease. We will also be providing healthy recipe cards that patrons and their families can use with the food bought at the market. This will be a great opportunity to educate and interact with the community!

Mental Health will have the opportunity to collaborate with other patient care committees to education patients at the Memphis Farmers Market about mental health, how to be aware of the impact of COVID-19 on your mental stability, and how to take care of yourself during these uncertain times. We will provide resources, tips, and information about mental health, anxiety, and depression.

HIV stigma is a huge factor preventing HIV patients from seeking drug therapy. Global Health will be providing education to the community on all things HIV-related to help reduce stigma of the disease and utilize our skills as student pharmacists to talk with the community.
