With all the anti-vaccine myths circulating today, it is more important than ever to educate patients about the HPV vaccine. Since this vaccine is associated with a sexually transmitted infection, many parents do not understand why their 9- to 14-year-old children should receive it. As student pharmacists, we can help dispel the myths about this vaccine, encourage parents to give it to their children, and show older patients who have not yet received it that it is not too late.
